Ranikhet Uttarakhand is a small hill station set in the Kumaon hills. It offers the tourists a panoramic view of the mighty Himalayan peaks. Best time to Visit
Summer (March - June) It is the best time to visit Ranikhet. It has a maximum temperature of around 27 degrees Celcius and a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celcius. This is an ideal time to visit the town of Ranikhet, given the pleasant weather that the town experiences during this time when compared to the rest of the subcontinent. Monsoon (July - August) Ranikhet can be visited in the early months of July, but it receives heavy rainfall during the months of July and August and it is advisable not to travel during these months as your plans might get hindered due to the rain.
Winter (September - February) Winters in Ranikhet are cold, with a maximum temperature of around 15 degrees Celcius and a minimum temperature of around -3 degrees Celcius. The weather during the early winter months of September, October and November is pleasant and this is also a good time to visit Ranikhet. How to Reach Ranikhet

The nearest airport to Ranikhet is Pantnagar, situated around 109 km away. There is a direct flight available from Delhi to Pantnagar, that runs on a daily basis. Once reached the airport, one can hire a taxi to reach Ranikhet.
BY RAIL
Kathgodam is the nearest railway station to Ranikhet, located at a distance of 75 km. There are several trains that pass through this railway station from almost all the major cities. Upon reaching the station, cab services are all time available to finally reach Ranikhet.
BY ROAD
Ranikhet establishes a viable connection through roads at all seasons, to places like Haldwani, Bhowali and Khairna. There are direct buses available from Delhi (359 km), Nainital (56 km), Kathgodam (75 km) and Ramnagar (96 km). Cab facility from cities like Haldwani and Nainital is also available for Ranikhet.
